ReplyDelete2. Yes I do because I wouldn't want to worry my parents and friends.The reason why Charlie is say that to Molly, Mother and the rest of the family is because he doesn't want them to worry about him and Tommo.

1. I think Tommo panics because it’s an attack after all, most people panic. I think the German shows mercy to Tommo because the German is the German Tommo, Captain Wilkie and the other people “kidnapped”.

Charlie tells his family this because he doesn’t want them to worry about him. I agree with his decision because you don’t want everyone to spend their time scared and worried.

ReplyDeleteI think Charlie lies to tell there family they’re doing fine in the trenches because he probably doesn’t want their family to know how bad it is in the trenches or else they would get worried. I agree with his decision because I think it would be a nice way to hide it.
Tommo doesn’t desert because he can’t once you join the army there is no way to back out.
If I was Tommo, I would personally rather die than even joining the army.
What happened to Anna is that she died of a Germany shell.

He doesn’t want to leave the army because he wants to support his own country and I think he might get shot of doing the wrong thing.
I would stand up for myself and fight for my country even if I die

ReplyDeleteI think the reason Charlie lied about having a good time at war is because he doesn't want to make his mom and family stressed and worried. Yes i do agree with Charlie's decision
Tommo doesn't leave the army because he and Charlie went in to the war together. Another reason is because he doesn't want to be a coward like how the old lady said.
I would try and stay strong like Carlie keep my head up high and try to be like Charlie a leader.
Anna got blowed up by a bomb and died.

Maybe Tommo panicked in the trench when the germans attacked is because he saw the smoke and he was worried if he took a breath he could die. I think the germen Tommo encountered in the trench showed him mercy because he thinks Tommo is quite young to be at war.

Her father asked her to collect eggs, and on the way back a german shell came and hit very close to where Anna was and it killed her.

Tommo panics when the Germans attack because Charlie is not there to help him and comfort him. I think the German shows mercy to Tommo because the German thinks they are probably both treated horribly and he does not have the heart to kill Tommo.
ReplyDeleteCharlie lied to his family because he did not want them to worry about him or Tommo. I agree with his decision because my parents would worry every day that I might get killed and they could not do anything to stop it.
Tommo does not desert the army because he does not want Charlie to come back and realize that Tommo was not there and he might think that Tommo might have gotten killed.
Anna got shot by a German shell and that is how she died.

ReplyDelete1.Tommo panicked because when the Germans sent the mustard gas over, he couldn’t get his gas mask on his face and was choking on the gas. I think the German showed mercy because he saw how young Tommo was and didn’t want to end his life so soon. In world war one, both sides suffered and no one wanted to fight. It was the country's leaders that made the men fight, but the leaders didn’t fight. I think the German soldier knew that the allies, including Tommo, hated the war as much as the German people, so the soldier spared Tommo’s life.
2.I think Chalie lied because if he said they were having a horrible time and they might get injured, hid family would worry. I do not agree with his decision. I would have told the truth, but reassured my family that I will be home soon.
3.Tommo doesn’t desert the army because you can get court martialed if you get caught.
4.If I was Tommo, I would try to survive the war and not desert because then there is a bigger chance I could die.
5.Anna was killed by a German shell when she was riding a horse cart with supplies.

I think he gets scared if he is going to die or his brother. I think because he didn’t shoot one of the Germans so they didn’t kill him.

1 I think he panics when the Germans attack because he is fearing for his life, and his brothers too. I think the Germans gave mercy to Tommo because he was to young to fight in the army and they knew he did not believe in the war.
